As many of you know, All Saints works hard to maintain this historic church for generations to come. In recent years, this has been evidenced by the roof restoration, the complete redecoration of the church, the sound system, the new kitchen units (half of which was donated by a member of our PCC), and the replacement of the old oil heating with an electric heating system.
The PCC is now prioritising the installation of an accessible toilet and baby-changing facility, lovingly called the 'Blessed Relief' Project. The estimated cost may seem very high but this is based on similar projects elsewhere and the challenges of drainage and archaeology associated with church buildings.
The Friends of All Saints focus on the fabric of the building, so all donations made through them are currently prioritised for the East window, which is desperately in need of repair and was the top priority in our last Quinquennial Inspection. The graphic alongside shows how well the Friends have done and the gap we still have for both projects in terms of achieving our ambitions. We are starting to apply for Grants from a range of Trusts to help us, but if you feel you can help there are a number of ways in which you can do this and all are available on our website.
